January 2002, a group of Israeli reserve officers and combat
soldiers returned from their duty in the Gaza strip, and drafted a letter that would change they way Israelis conceive the military
control of the occupied territories. This document came to be
known as the Combatant's Letter.

Courage to Refuse Calls: Refuse to Shoot at Gaza’s Civilians
IDF’s shooting at Gaza has already killed dozens of innocent civilians, among them young children, and achieved nothing but the an increase in the number of Kassam missiles fired at southern Israel from Gaza and an escalation in Palestinian hate and violence towards Israel.
Courage to Refuse Resumes Activity – Joined other NGO’s in a Protest Against The Killing of 7 Civilians in Gaza
The demonstration called for the halt of Israeli policy of targeted killings and preventive shelling, which is not only illegal, but also often results with the death of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Academics, left-wing activists hold protest in Ariel college - Lily Galili
A group of some 60 Tel Aviv academics and left-wing activists gathered Wednesday morning in front of the Judea and Samaria College of Ariel in the West Bank, to protest a government decision to confer university status on the college.

Now that he and the group he leads are candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize, David Zonsheine is looking toward the next stage of the struggle. His charisma gave the refusal of soldiers to serve in the territories a measure of legitimacy in Israeli society. The same just cause, he believes, will ultimately lead the country to come to its senses.
